Privacy

The short version

SecForge does not require an account. We do not run user tracking pixels. We do not sell or share data. The only data we collect is what is technically necessary to serve the site and, where applicable, what third-party services we use collect on our behalf.

Data we collect directly

• Server access logs. When you load a page, our hosting provider logs the request (IP address, timestamp, URL, user agent). These logs are kept for up to 30 days and used only to diagnose problems and detect abuse.
• Newsletter subscription, if you opt in. If a newsletter form is available and you submit your email, we store your email address with our email provider for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.

Data third-parties collect on our behalf

• Fonts. We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address and user agent as part of that request.
• Advertising. If display advertising is added (for example, Google AdSense), the advertising network may set cookies and collect interaction data. This will be disclosed via a cookie banner before any advertising cookies are set.
• Analytics. If we add privacy-respecting analytics, the choice of provider and the data collected will be disclosed here. We will not use Google Analytics with default settings.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not run tracking pixels in emails.
• We do not require account creation to read any article.

Your rights

Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page.

Children

SecForge is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
